Hotgen Corona Antigen - Layman's Test, Self-Test for Home Use

The Hotgen Corona Antigen Self Test is designed for use by lay persons and has its special approval as a lay test from the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM 5640-S-057/21). It is therefore freely available on the market and can be used by both private individuals and healthcare professionals.
Corona self-test with nasal sample swab

The Hotgen test is a high-quality Corona antigen self-test for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid antigens in the anterior nasal cavity. It is based on the lateral flow immunoassay method, which uses antibodies to detect specific antigens in the specimen swab.
Test for coronavirus quickly and easily at home

The Hotgen Corona Antigen Self Test is particularly easy to perform and therefore ideal for home use. A laboratory is not required.

This means that the test can be used reliably for regular checks at work or before visits to the supermarket or family.

The self-test has the potential to reduce the risk of infection to a minimum in many places, thus making an important contribution to the containment of the pandemic. Self-testing eliminates the need to visit a doctor or testing center for a Corona test. This can be performed in the comfort of your own home, reducing the risk of infection to healthcare professionals who would otherwise collect the samples.
